"A few West Ham legends..."
From Ken Dyer's article:

"Bilic, who could be joined at West Ham by fellow Croatian Nikola Jurcevic, who has worked with him in Croatia, Russia and Turkey, is also expected to appoint what was today described as “a few West Ham legends” to his coaching staff."

Any thoughts on who?

Also MODS...can we get a Slav icon?

Why would assistant be too big a step up for Potts?

According to WHO all he'd have to do is put a few cones out in the morning and make sure all the footballs are back in the nets at the end of the day.

tips

Rio started his coaching badges when he left man Utd, so he will be well on his way, and would be allowed to coach whilst completing them. Poots has been muted as a possibly assistant, but I thikn that's a big step up, he ahs done well as a coach and the u21s inability to stay in the top flight was little to do with him, as made clear by the amount of u21s that were let go in the past 5 months.

Potts and Dicks, are already involved with the club. I suppose there could be some promotion for them, though neither have covered themselves in glory, with what they've done so far. I'd love to see Rio back in some role, but I don't even know whether he has his coaching badges.

Re: "A few West Ham legends..."
I doubt Ludo will be back, he left very quietly with neither him nor the club saying much, rumours were it was for health reasons. Wouldn't mind seeing Rio back as a coach, maybe youth team, he had some very intelligent thoughts about the lack of youth development through the PL in an interview he gave last year.

He will bring his own assistant but expect the support staff/backroom etc to include Potts, Lomas, Dicks and then potentially Rio and Ludo.

That was the rumour at the time PD, but it was all very hush hush. Maybe that's the way he wanted it to be.

What's LUDO up to these days? I never did hear the reason he left a few years back.

I agree normally, but the job in question is very particular.

First and foremost, it is to stay up; exactly as it was number one priority for Sam.

Then, the next most important thing after that, and this is where the job is completely different to Sam's, is to make this last season a United family affair, that everyone feels a part of.

That's why I don't mind the next two seasons being very much an in house affair. Later, we can upgrade staff if it's not working as well as it should.

All IMHO, naturally.

Re: "A few West Ham legends..."
I'd rather hire the best men for the job above any other criteria.

If they have a West Ham connection, then all the better, but that's not as important for me as them being exceptional at what they do.
